Little Brother goes bananas!
Review:
Little Brother offers a delightful dining experience, particularly for those with a sweet tooth. The highlight of my visit was their indulgent breakfast offerings, which showcased both creativity and quality.
I sampled two standout dishes:
Bananas Foster Pancakes This dish features two fluffy pancakes generously smothered in a rich banana rum caramel sauce. The crowning glory is a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream, which adds a cool, creamy contrast to the warm pancakes. The combination of flavors – the sweet caramel, the subtle rum notes, and the fresh banana – creates a harmonious and decadent breakfast treat.
Layla’s Giant Fricken Cinnamon Roll True to its name, this cinnamon roll is indeed giant and absolutely fricken delicious. It’s made with burnt butter, which adds a nutty depth to the pastry. The use of Vietnamese cinnamon provides a more intense, sweeter flavor compared to regular cinnamon. The roll is finished with a luscious cream cheese glaze, adding a tangy sweetness that complements the spicy cinnamon perfectly.
Overall, my experience at Little Brother was very positive. The restaurant seems to excel in creating indulgent, high-quality breakfast items with a twist. The attention to detail in their ingredients, such as the use of burnt butter and Vietnamese cinnamon, shows a commitment to flavor that sets them apart. While these dishes are certainly on the sweeter, more decadent side, they make for a memorable breakfast or brunch experience.
For those looking to satisfy their sweet cravings with some unique and well-crafted dishes, Little Brother is definitely worth a visit.
